1.  What is an appropriate age for the Haunted Trail?  Haverghast Haunted House?  Corn Maze of Mayhem?  Haunted Hayride of Hemlock Hill?
All the attractions are intended to be very scary and are staffed with actors.  It is difficult to recommend an appropriate age: some 10 year olds participate and they love it, while some 13 year olds are escorted out in tears. Parental discretion is advised for all of the attractions.
 
2.  How long is the Haunted Trail? 
The Haunted Trail takes about 25 minutes to walk through.

3.  Will any of the monsters or actors grab me?
The actors in all of the Field of Screams attractions are professional and have been instructed not to intentionally touch or grab any of the patrons as part of their performance.  Guests of Field of Screams are not permitted to touch any of the actors or props or they risk being removed from the event.

4.  What happens if it rains?
The event will be closed in steady rain or severe storms.  If the event of very light rain/mist, we will attempt to open as many attractions as possible.  Due to the nature of some of the special effects, some attractions may need to close earlier than others.  If the weather is questionable, please call the hotline at 301-260-9004.

5.  Do you have group discounts?
Yes!  Groups of 10 or more should contact obgcdeal@aol.com to learn more about group discounts.  Groups must make an advanced reservation in order to obtain the discount.

6.  Do you have discounts for children?
No – everyone pays the same price for each attraction.

7.  Should I be concerned if I have medical conditions?
There are some risks associated with participating in the Field of Screams.  The event is intended to be scary.  Trails can be uneven, slippery and dark, and there are several special effects, including strobe lights, loud noises, flames, vertigo tunnel, claustrophia tunnels and fog effects that are used throughout the various attractions.  Participants are required to sign a waiver before participating in the Field of Screams.

8.  Is the event handicap accessible?
Many of the attractions are easily accessible depending upon your needs.  Please contact obgcdeal@aol.com to make advanced arrangements.

9.  Do you sell food or alcohol?
Food – Yes!!  Enjoy making your own s’mores over an open fire, or try our specialty – Deep Fried Twinkies!  We also offer pizza, hot cider, hot chocolate, funnel cakes, and plenty of other treats.  Alcohol is not permitting on site.

10.  If I get too scared can I get a refund?
No – the point of participating in the event is to get scared!  The Field of Screams is a fundraising event for the Olney Boys & Girls Community Sports Association. 

11.  How is this year's attraction different from past years?
Every year our creative geniuses come up with sick new ideas. Paths have been completely re-routed for the haunted trail and the hayride to ensure fresh new scares and thrills. You will not be disappointed!

12.  When is the best time to come so we can avoid a long wait?
To avoid the biggest crowds, come early in October, or on a Thursday or Sunday night. If you come on a Friday or Saturday – arrive as early as possible.

13.  Do you have security on-site?
Yes – in addition to the security cameras throughout the site, the Field of Screams is staffed with dozens of uniformed and plain clothes security personnel throughout the event.

14.  What should I wear?
The event is outside and may be muddy with uneven paths.  Long pants and sturdy shoes are highly recommended.  Flips flops and high heels are discouraged.
